Playdate with Henry!

Today, Thomas got to meet his good friend Henry for the first time! He and his mom, Rebekah, who is my very good friend, came over for the afternoon and of course we had to capture the moment. Unfortunately, Thomas was not in the "picture-taking" kind of mood and screamed during the entire thing...

The Faces of Thomas

Thomas already has so many expressions...even at one or two weeks old! Here are some cute ones we caught the other day...

Thomas really seemed to look at my dad, PaPa and study his face with intensity...

The "Oh" Face

This was such a silly face that Thomas made! Auntie Erin was holding him and all of a sudden his lips puckered and they stayed puckered for a good long while! We all got a good laugh from it and donned the face his "oh" face.

The Stork

Our church puts a stork in front of the house to let everyone know about it's "newest member." This was actually an idea brought forth by my mom years ago when she ran the nursery and they are still using the same stork!

First Bath at Home

Our first bath at home was an interesting experience...as you can see, Thomas thoroughly enjoyed it. Screamed through the entire thing!

Today, we left the hospital to take Thomas to his new home! It was a very special day and he seemed to really enjoy the car ride! He got to wear the daygown that his Fun Uncle Brian wore home from the hospital and the cutest "boy" bonnet courtesy of our friends the Hales!

Happy Birthday Thomas!!

Thomas Christian Blancher was born on July 18, 2008 at 12:08 PM. He weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs, 1 oz and was 21 inches long!

We feel so blessed by the birth of our son! The day was so special and we were surrounded by family and friends, whom we love very dearly. We thank everyone for their love and support throughout the pregnancy and especially for their prayers for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. God's presence was truly there!

The Nursery
